Part of being healthy and taking care of yourself is surrounding yourself with the right people. The right people are people who lift you up, encourage you, and are true friends. These are the people that when you're around them, you're a better version of yourself. These are the people who inspire you, challenge you, and encourage you. You know who I'm talking about, we all have these people in our lives, or we have people around us who have these people in their lives.
There's a saying that I've heard before, "you are the sum of your five closest friends." When you choose to surround yourself with people who believe in positivity and purpose, you will be far more likely to be inspired and to push yourself. I have friends like this, when I'm around them I feel lifted up, and inspired, I also feel stronger for the gift that they give me in their friendship.
This week I'm focusing on friendship and the circle of people around me. I encourage you to do the same. I have friends who are incredible leaders, athletes, coaches, parents, and friends. They are there rain or shine. I can depend on them always and I hope they know it goes both ways. I feel blessed daily to have them as amazing influences in my life.
Do you have a circle of friends who lift you up and encourage you to be your best self? Are you spending time with people who focus on the positive or are you spending time with people who focus on the negative? Sometimes you need to look at your friendships and ask yourself if who you spend time with is good for you. Sometimes you need to take a break from negativity. That's okay. Give yourself permission to step away from negativity and focus on the positive.
